You know you should do it don’t you? Those little voices in your head keep telling you that it’s a fantastic idea.

So why you have given yourself every reason under the sun that you can’t, or worse still don’t need to do it?

You know what I am referring to? Creating a YouTube (or any for that matter) marketing video. After all it’s costing you money right now.

So why are you losing money?

A few months back I hurt my shoulder and today I had to go in for a cortisone injection to help get it moving again. Now I don’t know exactly what is in cortisone, but I do know this.

It doesn’t help you sleep.

On any given night I am usually asleep by about 10:30 pm. Sitting here looking at my watch right now the time is 1:10 am, and I am well and truly wide awake.

The Point is though

For my business it doesn’t matter when I do and don’t sleep. From a lead generation – sales perspective. I literally hundreds of video’s up on YouTube promoting my business, be it day night or any time in between.

Basically my videos are a clones of me doing my selling for me.

Now if you are my competition (and you have no video’s) you are in deep shit. You just don’t have the same sort of leverage happening that I do.

So lets take a look at where your cash is going

1. When you don’t have any video working for you, either yourself (or one of your employees) has to do all of your sales work one on one manually! That is very time consuming. Maybe you should try a cortisone injection, it seems you need less sleep! So that’s a cost to you.
2. If your competition has video’s up, chances are potential customers are more likely to find them first, and buy from them instead of you. That’s another cost to you.
3. You are missing out on educating your market. You guessed it, that’s costing you again. If you don’t understand the buying cycle of a client then download this Free Report… Six reasons people don’t buy from you, even though your business is awesome.
4. You have to waste time speaking to people individually, all day every day, when you could simple be directing them to a video that answers all of their questions. I think I have got the cost problem though to you by now, Right?
5. You are not building an Authority in your market , when you have video online people start to look at you as an expert.
6. You are missing an invaluable chance to point out the difference in quality between your products, and the cheap rubbish your competition offers.
7. You are missing a huge opportunity to create demonstrability, where you can actually show your customer your product in action actually solving their problem for them.
8. You aren’t letting enough people see your true personality. People buy from people that they like and trust.
9. You don’t show up in the search engines as often, because Google owns YouTube.
10. You are missing out on the opportunity of using Google Hangouts which allows you to run a webinar type deal for FREE.

If you don’t understand Hangout’s, don’t worry about them just yet, concentrate on getting your video up first.

Still feel that creating video is beyond you?

Don’t get too stressed about it. I doubt that there is a single person on YouTube that hasn’t felt that same hesitation at some point.

I know that I have certainly felt that way.

Okay so this is the business end of this post. You can say to yourself yes this is a great idea Beanie but…

Then you can make a very valid bullshit excuse for yourself and continue on losing money in the area’s that you learnt about above.
