Come in and get our leftovers, they’re FREE while they last.
I had to check that twice just to make sure that I was reading that right. It was early and I was only on my first coffee. I must have read that wrong, surely no one would deliberately post that?
But sadly yes, someone did actually post that on their Facebook Business Page. Sounds appealing doesn’t it?
Makes you want to grab your keys jump straight in your car and get into their shop as quickly as you possible can to get their leftovers.
It reminds me of a joke Carl Barron the comedian tells. His mate had a sausage roll and said to him, this tastes like shit, do you want some?
Oh yeah Carl says there’s nothing I love more that the taste of shit!
Back to the point of this.
If you are trying to impress new customers or make the long term customers feel special by giving them something for free,
For God’s sake don’t go offering them your leftovers. Why the hell would that appeal to them?
Now these left overs may have been high quality stuff. If that was the case and you wanted to give the last few away to build goodwill, this is how you would say it…
We only have a few of these really specials things left, and we want a few lucky customers to get them for Free. So if you come in today (it’s first in best dressed till they’re gone) we want you to try one on us. Just because you are awesome.
Does that sound a little better than come in for our leftovers?
Now while you are here I want to give you one of my best pieces of content for Free.
It’s a report I created called Six Reasons People Don’t Buy From You Even Though Your Products And Services Are Awesome.
The content in it is the same stuff that I teach my best paying customers, because I don’t want you to have my left overs. I want you to have the best of my stuff for FREE because you rock 😉
